Krishnastami Special Payasam - FOODY ZONE

Lord Sri Krishna's Favourite food Payasam of flattened rice.

Lord Krishna

Ingredients needed for the recipe are :


  • Flattened Rice - 1 cup
  • Milk - 1 cup
  • Sugar - 1/4 cup
  • Elaichi Powder - 1 spoon
  • Coconut Powder - 1 spoon

Preparation of Payasam :

  1. Take milk and sugar into a bowl and heat up to 3 minutes
  2. Once the milk is heated and thickened add flattened rice into it
  3. After 30 seconds turn off the heat
  4. Now take the Payasam into a small bowl and garnish it with coconut powder and elaichi powder.
#Krishnastami Special Payasam is now ready to be served...

The great tale of Sudama and Krishna's friendship is related to the flattened rice as Sudama gifts them to Krishna.

FOODY ZONE - Maida Sweet Biscuits

Tasty Homemade Maida Sweet Biscuits...


Ingredients for the preparation are : 1) 1 cup of Maida 2) 1 cup of Sugar 3) Oil 4) A pinch of salt First we have to prepare circular shape biscuits of Maida dough, then we need to fry them in the oil and later dip in the sugar syrup. Making of Maida biscuits : First take the Maida into a bowl and add a pinch of salt, little oil and water as required to make the dough. Now prepare the Maida chapati and cut the chapati into smallet circular shape...then fry them in the oil and rest them aside. Making of Sugar Syrup : Take a cup of Sugar and half cup of water and heat them for 2 to 3 minutes.


Preparation of Maida sweet biscuits : Dip the fried Maida biscuits into the hot sugar syrup while it's still on stove... after 30 seconds remove the biscuits from the syrup... The Maida Sweet Biscuits are now ready to be served...!

Evening Snack SPICY CHURA





To make spicy chura you need: 1) Flattened rice 2) Mirchi powder 3) Onions 4) Oil


Preparation of Spicy Chura:

  1. Take the flattened rice and heat it for about 2 to 3 mins on low flame and remember to stir them constantly 
  2. After 3 mins add the oil for about 2 spoons and roast the flattened rice for about 2 mins
  3. Now add the chopped onions and stir them
  4. Later add Mirchi powder and salt as per your preference 
  5. The Spicy Chura is now ready to be served.

DIY - Plastic Vase

Plastic Vase

Plastic is a hazardous element on our planet. Let's slow down using it and better to reuse the plastic we have as house hold items.Plastic can be reused in my ways. Plastic vase is one of the ways to reuse the plastic bottles for decorations. You can make this plastic vase all by yourself.
Things needed to do the plastic vase: 1) Used plastic bottles of different sizes or colors 2) scissor 3) candle 4) pebbles and artificial plant( for decorating)
Preparation of Plastic Vase :


  1. To prepare plastic vase take used plastic bottles 
  2. Now cut them into 3/4th proportion 
  3. Take the larger portions and cut them vertically each of 1 cm width while leaving some space at the bottom
  4. Now take the vertical potion near to the candle and take it near to the fire 
  5. Follow the step for every vertical portion
  6. Now take the bottle which is cut into half and place as a base for the vase
  7. Now put some pebbles into it
  8. Now take the vertically cut bottle and place it upside down and add few pebbles
  9. Now place the plastic plant on top of it
  10. The plastic vase is now ready

DRINKS ZONE - Coriander Seeds Tea


Coriander Seeds Tea is a healthy drink.



To make 2 cups of Coriander Seeds Tea we need :
  1. 2 spoons of dry coriander seeds
  2. 2 cups of milk( boiled milk)
  3. 2 spoons of sugar

Preparation of Coriander Tea :


  1.  Take 2 cups of boiled milk and heat it for about 2 minutes
  2.  Add two spoons of Coriander seeds to the milk
  3.  Add two spoons of sugar to the milk
  4.  Let it heat for about 2 minutes
  5.  After 2 minutes take the tea and strain it by a tea strainer
  6.  Coriander Seeds Tea is now ready to be served

Foody Zone - Making of Atta Laddu



To prepare Atta Laddu the ingredients needed are:
   

  1. Ghee - 80g
  2. Atta or wheat flour - 150g
  3. Sugar powder - 100g
  4. Almonds - 10g
  5. Kaaju - 10g
  6. Elaichi - 5 
               
Preparation : To make Atta laddu's we need to roast the almonds, kaaju and Elaichi in ghee for about 3 mins and then after cooling they have to be grinded wel.
Once the Almond, Kaaju and Elaichi powder is grinded keep it a side.


  1. Take the utensil on the stove and add 60g of ghee into the utensil and add the Atta to it.
  2. Now stir the Atta constantly for about 5 mins and you can observe the change in the color
  3. Now add Almond, kaaju and Elaichi mixture into the Roasted Atta .
  4. Off the stove and mix all the ingredients well and also add 20 grams of ghee to the mixture and mix thoroughly.
  5. Now apply ghee onto your hands and take the mixture into your hands when it is little hot and make round shaped out of them
  6. Then garnish Laddu with almond and kaaju
  7. The Delicious Atta Laddu is ready.
